Born in Germany in 1999, Dan Thiessen's relationship with music began at age six with his first piano lessons. Over the years that followed, he expanded his musical world — picking up additional instruments, performing live with bands, and gradually immersing himself in the craft of music production. All of that experience converged in 2020, when he took the leap into composing full time.

Since then, Dan has established himself as a versatile and prolific composer in the world of production and trailer music. His catalog spans a remarkably wide range of styles and genres, yet a common thread runs through all of it: a genuine passion for deeply emotional, moving music that connects with audiences on a human level. That quality has earned him numerous sync placements in promotional campaigns for major film and television properties, as well as custom work for advertising clients and trailer houses worldwide.

His compositions have been brought to life by live orchestras at world-class facilities including the Vienna Synchron Stage and Abbey Road Studios, and in 2023 his work earned him a nomination at the Production Music Awards — a meaningful milestone in a career that continues to grow.
